Trekking Plaza Francia

Base camp of Aconcagua`s shouth face, guided trekking program.

The force of the nature deployed in one of the highest walls in the earth. 3000 vertical meters of rock and ice, glaciers, infinite skies and full of stars nights.

Duration: 4 days / 3 nights

ITINERARY

Day 1 Mendoza / PENITENTES

Reception in Mendoza City. Permissions requestion. Transfer to Penitentes, where the group spend the night, Lodging, dinner.

Day 2 Penitentes / Horcones / Confluencia

In the morning, we take a route 7 until Horcones Valley in Aconcagua Provincial Park. Begin the trek to Confluencia, where we will mount our camp.

Day 3 Confluencia / Plaza Francia / Confluencia

After breakfast we begin the trekking to Plaza Francia (4100 mts). After 5 hours we will arrive to Plaza Francia. Excellent views of the Horcones Inferior Glacier and of Aconcagua`s south face. Lunch, rest and return to Confluencia.

Day 4 Confluencia / Mendoza

Breakfast. Return to Horcones. Lunch and Transfer to Mendoza City.
