In the town you can visit: Tilcara Pucara (1 mile south of Tilcara) was the native village of the place, pre-Hispanic times. It has an area of 8 hectares, situated on a hill nearly 80 meters above the Rio Grande. * District of Monument: the highest point where you will find as many homes. Here stands the monument to the archaeologists Juan Ambrosetti, Eric Boman and Salvador De Benedetti. * Los Corrales: lower area for animals. * Sacred Site: central zone, scene of religious ceremonies. * The District of Entry: are other apartment buildings and multiple enclosures without a roof. * Necropolis: the cemetery. Botanical Garden Height (To the left of the entrance to the Pucara of Tilcara) has an area of 3 hectares, where you can see characteristic species of the vegetation of the gorge and the Puna.
