Dakar Rally Argentina-Chile-Perú 2012
The Dakar Rally Argentina-Chile-Peru 2012 will depart from Mar del Plata. It will be the fourth time that the competition go by South America. This time it will feature Six Stages in Argentina, Six in Chile and Four in Peru. Mar del Plata will be the starting point, as the city of Lima, Peru will be the finish, with a lap of 9,700 Kilometers, 4,700 Km. Speed (Special) and 5000 Km. links.

DAKAR ARGENTINA 2012
In 2012 the Dakar Rally returns to Argentina for the third consecutive year. The Dakar has become an unmatched showcase for Argentina in the world and an important framework of tourism and the national economy. The estimated 3.4 million spectators that were present at the Start, along the route and the Arrival of Argentine stages of the rally and the 2500 people associated with the Dakar caravan, led to a spectacular growth in economic activity.
The resulting tourism promotion campaign coverage of 70 television networks in 190 countries scored 1200 hours of Programs and was valued at $us. 448 million.
Upon the departure in La Feliz, the tour will continue through Buenos Aires, Santa Rosa, La Pampa, San Rafael, Mendoza, San Juan, and Fiambalá Catamarca. Following it will cross over to Chile, where it will cover the regions of Copiapo, Iquique, Arica, and Antofagasta and it will continue for Arequipa, Nazca, Pisco and Lima, Peru.
