FAIR OF MATADEROS
The Fair of Mataderos it has like main objective to create a permanent space for the production and diffusion by the Argentine cultural roots, because the towns in contact with that send to their origins, restitutes more spontaneous social relations and healthy, contributing to reestablish the social weave, base of the operation of all democracy, affirming the right to the culture that has all citizen. The fair consists of three areas, the Traditional Crafts, the Artistic Festival and the Gauchesca Skill, or which also turns different activities like shops, chats, traditional exhibitions, videos, contests, games and many other activities.
Who to arrive:
Option 1: From the center ascending for the Avenue Independence, avenue that changes its name for Alberdi Avenue. Always continuing until the avenue Lisandro de la Torre.
Option 2: From the center taking by Rivadavia Avenue to avenue La Plata. There you can take the freeway 25 of May until the slope of the street Escalada, continuing until avenue Eva Perón arriving until Lisandro de la Torre.

SAN PEDRO TELMO ANTIQUES FAIR
The San Pedro Telmo Anticues Fair, is located in La Plaza Dorrego, this fair expone every Sunday in the streets of the city, and it si really frequented by a great number of people.
The tourists can take a good time of their time because you can find a lot of things to do and choose.
Enjoy the shows alive that different artists can offer, like musicians and tango dancers.
THE INTERNATIONAL VIDEO- DANCE FESTIVAL
The Internatinal Festival of Video-Dance, it began in Buenos Aires in 1995, by the initiative of the director, Silvia Szperling, by the Cultural Center Ricardo Rojas.
In the international aspect the festival has being fundamental to impel the development from the gender to a local level.
PONCHOS' FESTIVAL
It is an important folkloric festival, one of the most cultural and artistic attractions in Catamarca department. It is carried out on July. It has a great trajectory, represents a landmark of Catamarca and the most important festival in the country.
Many people think that Belen is Poncho’s cradle; they confirm it seeing the high quality and fine fabrics. The ponchos from Catamarca are spun with vicuña wool.
The festival is very famous and is organized by Tourism Department. All people participate in it and many handmade objects are exhibited reflecting the culture identity.
More than 700 craftsmen show theirs products in the fields of: textiles, basketworks, silver works, candies and others products as ponchos, fabrics, and the famous carpets. The exhibitors comes from the rest of departments, mainly of aboriginal places and other delegations from Peru, Bolivia, Brazil, Paraguay, Chile and others ones.
This event also shows the increasing agricultural production. There are many musical groups participation, every year there are more people participating in the fair.
At night, the environment turns lively because of the musical festival where there are many concerts. Finally, the public go to the “ranchos” for continue enjoying the folklore and typical dishes at dawn.
