Villa Carlos Paz

Carlos Paz Village, located 30 kilometers from the city of Córdoba is the city Carlos Paz. It is located at an altitude of 641 meters above sea level.

Its location is privileged due to being a center of routes and roads that lead to other cities.

Carlos Paz is characterized by being a tourist and modern area; where the practice of sports is a singular attraction. Hunting and fishing (trouts, carps, pejerrey, perches, bagres and dientudos), waterscooter riding, yachting, horsemanship, cycling, water skiing, bowling, scuba diving , tennis, mini golf, motorcycling, are some of the varied activities that the city offers.

By land

You can get to Villa Carlos Paz by three roads, from the east bur road No. 20 (J. A. Posse Highway), from the north by road No. 38 and from the west by road No. 14.

From Cordoba city (Córdoba): National Road 20 and national Road 38

From Buenos Aires: National Road No. 9, No. 20 and No. 38

By Air

Villa Carlos Paz does not have its own airport; the nearest airport is located in Cordoba Pajas Blancas, located at 36 kilometers away.

Danza america2008

Villa Carlos Paz in Cordoba, Argentina, will be host of the Mega International Dance Contest “Danzamerica”, on September 30 to October 12, 2008.
The Contest has 14 years of success, Classic dance, Neoclassic Dance, Character Dance, Contemporaneous, Modern Jazz, Street Dance, Free Dance, Musical Comedy and International Folklore, Latin-American, Spanish, Argentinean, Arabic and Tango.

San Roque Dike

This important engineering infrastructure has 11 kilometers by a zigzag and panoramic road, called the 100 curves, or in very interesting boat rides by the lake. San Roque Dike is feed by San Roque Lake, Cosquín and San Antonio rivers and Los Chorrillos and Las Mojarras Creeks.

La Costanera

It starts at Av. Sabattini in an interesting of strolls surrounded by beautiful landscapes by the river shore and the lake shore, gathering the downtown with the bridges, the “Paseo de los Patos”, Nautical clubs, Spas, camping’s, Convention centers and Sport Center Polideportivo. In the central area, in front of the playón municipal sport center, Club Argentino Square, in memory of the fallen at Malvinas War.

The City

To visit Villa Carlos Paz, it’s attraction centers, take a stroll by its residential neighborhoods and enjoy its wonderful pan views exists different possibilities: If you have a car is an obligatory activity, if not there’s circuits established to visit by touristy vehicles as the well known "trencito" and "el tranvía de la Villa" You can take them from Belgrano and San Martin, Cassaffousth Bridge, Club Argentino de Servicios square.

Cerro de la Cruz

Trekking towards mountain summit at 1.000 (m. s/n/m), 2, 2 km. Vía Crucis, Panoramic views, Spectacular viewpoint, monumental cross 15 meters high.

Cu-Cu Clock

7 meters high Clock, made with the traditional technique used by the German companies of the Black Jungle. It is an Artisan work and distinctive sign of the city. It is located at Boulevard Sarmiento and road No. 20.
  
Paseo de las Farolas

Located in downtown north on Av. 9 de Julio. This particular path was inaugurated on 2001. It has dársenas, plat pots with bushes and flowers, benches and streetlights wrought iron. The wide sidewalks are made in red slab, marble and paving stone. Its principal function was to improve the appearance of the place and provide beauty to a forgotten "Centro Viejo"

Bosque Alegre

It is located at 29 km. away from the Village. You can get there by road No. 14, passing the centenary San Antonio de Arredondo Chapel (1821), you have to leave the road by the left of the road. Crossing by Las Jarillas to arrive to  Sierra del Tala (1290 m. s/n/m), where we will find:
   
• Astrophysical Station

It is an important science investigation center. Guided visits with video and chats projections. Ask about the schedules.

• Terrestrial Station

Second satellite communication station built in the country.

San Roque Lake Circuit

An interesting possibility to make if you have a car is the automobile ride around San Roque Lake.
