General Belgrano Village, Argentina

                   Córdoba: 85 Kilometers
Located at  840 m.a.s.l

General Belgrano is a charming town that is located in the Calamuchita Valley. The architecture is its most representative characteristic; it is a traditional European style. The inhabitants form a heterogeneous ethnic group (European and Argentinean).

General Belgrano also comprehends natural beauties, traditional parties and the cordiality of its residents. It is denominated “the Village of the five parties”.

The Mediterranean climate, always sunny and dry, is warm during the day and fresh at night. In the rivers, there are brown and rainbow trouts, mojaras and bagres (fish) and in the lakes, there are silversmelts and bagres too.

How to get to Villa General Belgrano

By air

By plane from Buenos Aires (50 minutes flight approximately). Arrival to Cordoba Airport; from there you can take a taxi directly to Villa General Belgrano (1,30hours approximately) or by the Minibus Terminal in Cordoba city you can take the Pajaro Blanco service. Also you will find the Lep service Cordoba and Rio Cuarto trajectory traveling by the Villa or Calamuchita Transport Service or by Tus, (Both leaves from Cordoba Bus Terminal)

By Planes and Helicopters

Villa General Belgrano has an aero club for small planes; it is located just few blocks away from the center of the city.

By land

By Bus

From Buenos Aires you can travel by Bus (11 hours approximately) and intermediate cities. The arrival is at Villa Belgrano Bus Terminal just few blocks away from the city downtown. There are also available services everyday I the night shift.

By Car     

From Buenos Aires and the Intermediate cities is a travel of 750 Kilometers approximately.
To Travel to Villa General Belgrano you have to take the National Road No. 8 towards Pilar city, traveling by: San Antonio de Areco, Pergamino, Venado Tuerto (half way), La Carlota, Río Cuarto, subsequently taking the National Road No. 36 towards Alcira, Elena and Berrotarán.

Few kilometers away you will find a Service station YPF, to the left you will see the fork to finally take the National Road No. 5 that leads directly to Villa General Belgrano, traveling by the cities of the Tercero River Reservoir, Villa Rumipal, Villa del Dique and Santa Rosa de Calamuchita.

Pozo Verde and Zarzamora Creek

From José Hernández square you have to take the main street towards north to arrive to the National Road No. 5, just 600 meters from the exit, towards Córdoba city, you will find the access that will lead you to Pozo Verde and Zarzamora Creek.

Virgen Mountain and Pico Alemán

From José Hernández square you have to take the Ojo de Agua street towards the National Road No.5, 300 meters Hawai from the exit, towards Santa Rosa de Calamuchita area you will find the access (tranquera) at the Sierras Chicas feet.

Paseo de los Arroyos

From José Hernández square you have to take San Martín to the north till reach the Los Reartes road access. Once there, the path surrounding La Toma and El Sauce creek starts towards the Municipal swimming pool, enjoying the enchanted natural views of Villa General Belgrano.

Cristo Grande

From José Hernández square you have to take the main street to the south till the Municipal Swimming pool. Once there you have to take the Cumbrecita path, by Atos Pampa, traveling 4 kilometers to finally arrive to Cristo Grande.

El Edén Flora and Fauna

Is the Ecological Integral Unite located in Villa Rumipal, 20 kilometers away approximately by the Provincial Route No.5. Besides their conservation and investigation activities there are educational and recreational activities as well  for example the AULA ABIERTA AL SOL program offered in all the educational centers of the entire country inside a mountain area of 25 hectares-fence, there lives approximately 500 animals of 68  different species. It has 4 kilometers of graveled road for vehicles, or the cebra-bus for large groups or just for a walk.
