Viedma is the capital of the province of Rio Negro. This city is considered the seat of the oldest colonization of the Patagonia. It was founded in 1779.
Viedma is a town with a beautiful appearance; it has wide streets and avenues with commercial centers and amusement spots. It presents a comfortable hotel installation and diverse nautical and fishing clubs.

Pellegrini Lake
Pellegrini lake is a reservoir (artificial lake) originally was a natural depression area, possibly excavated by wind erosion, that was filled with water from a channel that derivates of Neuquén River, to regulate its flow (the river has no natural lakes to perform this important function. The medium profundity is 9,4 meters and the maximum is 18 m. It covers 112 km² and has 1,053×109 m³ volume.
The lake is used in commercial trout fishing and Silver-smelt and also used in sport fishing, recreation and tourism.
El Condor Spa

The city is “conurbada” with Viedma city practically since its origin, that’s why the tourism in Viedma includes also Carmen the Patagones city; however, Carmen de Patagones maintain historic characteristics that provides certain peculiarity to the area, the antique main church, and the “maragatos” caves (used as houses in the times the population was founded), the antique major house, and the old train station.
Ferrovial Bridge
The Ferrovial Bridge gathers since the beginnings of XX century Carmen de los Patagones with Viedma. This bridge was built by the argentine state, is a Bascule bridge with wide trocha ancha ways, along lots of time it’s being characterized by being the longest Bascule Bridge in the World.
