Tourist Valleys in Argentina

Calamuchita Valley
The Valley is flanked by the Small Mountains, to the east, and the Comechingones Mountains, to the west; its highest point is the imposing Hill of Champaquí (2.994 meters above the sea level).

Fishing and other nautical activities can be practiced in its seven reservoirs, among which, the most famous are those of Cerro Pelado, Rio III, Piedras Moras and Los Molinos.

Punilla Valley
The Valley limits to the east with the Small Mountains and to the west with diverse ranges that alternate with plateaus or "pampas".

The Uritorco hills, Los Gigantes, El Pajarillo and Pan de Azúcar are situated in this region. All this hills are apt for hiking and mountain climbing.

In the Valley of Punilla, the Rally of the Republic of Argentina takes place. This competition congregates tourists from all over the world.

It is interesting to visit

· The Quebrada de Vaquerías
· Dam San Roque
· Laguna de Mar Chiquita (Lagoon)
· The San Roque Lake
· Cosquín River
· Lagoon Village
· Síquiman Park
· Santa Cruz del Lago Village
· Dam La Falda
· The new Reservoir El Cajón

These last ones are centers of great attractiveness for the practice of aquatic activities as sailing, wind-surfing and canoeing.

Other natural formations are particularly attractive: Los Terrones, a formation of reddish gritty from the Tertiary Age eroded by natural agents; and the Gulch and Mirador of Cuchi Corral, privileged places for flying delta wings and paragliding.

Other suggested tourist places

· La Cascada de los Chorrillos (Cascade), near to Tanti.

· The Natural Reservation Vaquerias, in Valle Hermoso.

· The San Jose Chapels, in Mallin (XVIII c.); San Antonio, in Valle Hermoso (XVIII c.); Olaen, in the Pampa of the same name (XVIII c.); San Roque, in La Cumbre (XVIII c.); and Dolores (XVIII c.).

· El Horno "El Argentino", in Bialet Masse (where the first national lime was produced for the construction of the first dam of San Roque in the XIX century).

· The San Jeronimo dike, near to La Cumbre.

· The dike Los Alazanes, near to Capilla del Monte.

· The Mirador de Cuchi Corral.
