The Uco Valley, Argentina
It is a wide valley situated to the south of the river Mendoza. It is naturally arid but the soil is very fertile. From the Andes, numerous streams of water descend, many of them with permanent flows that end in the river Tunuyán. Such condition allowed the formation of a flourishing agricultural oasis which counts with artificial watering. The growing of fruit and vegetables is a common activity.
