Talampaya Park, Argentina

It is located 145 kilometers from La Rioja.

The reddish canyon of Talampaya is one of the most remarkable natural marvels in Argentina.

It presents a mountainous territory where the eroded walls have created odd forms that reach up to 143 meters.

Remains of aboriginal housings and hieroglyphs of incalculable antiquity can be found.

It is interesting to visit

· El Pizarrón, a great frieze covered by carvings made by indigenous people.
· Ischigualasto - Talampaya, which is the only place in the world where there are fossil remains that allow the reconstruction of an important period in the terrestrial geologic history: the Triasic.
