Viedma is the capital of the province.

This is a province that comprehends diverse geographical areas: mountain ranges, valleys and lakes.

It is considered an important fruit production center, mainly of apples and pears, along with the vineyard plantations.

Rio Negro offers excellent conditions for the practice of nautical sports such as sailing and water ski. Also, there are boat trips, with accommodations on board, to visit the islands of Rio Negro.

Bariloche

San Carlos de Bariloche, or simply Bariloche, is a city of Argentina that belongs to the Rio Negro province  and is the head of Bariloche department.

Bariloche is an important tourist city in South America and the most populated city in the Andean Patagonia. It is located in the limit of the Nahuel Huapi National Park, southwest of Río Negro province , beside Andes Mountain Range, by the south lake shore of Nahuel Huapi Lake, just 832 km away from  Viedma.

The natural reservoirs that includes Lakes, woods and mountains, its architectonic style and its distinguished ski centers are the main attraction and economical income for the city.

Nahuel Huapi Nacional Park

It is located on Rio Negro Province and Neuquén province (Argentina)
The closest city is San Carlos de Bariloche and Villa La Angostura
Area 712.160 hectares

The park is the most antique among the National Parks in Argentina. It was created in 1934, on the donation of 225.000 hectares of Francisco Pascasio Moreno in 1903 for its creation.

Las Grutas

Las Grutas is a tourist summer village located inside the San Antonio West Municipio, in Rio Negro province (Argentina).

Las Grutas is the biggest and most famous Patagonia Beach.  It could be said that the only reason for the existence of this tourist place is the tourists, even though some years ago the place has permanent population that its severely increase during summer.
