Resistencia is the capital of the Chaco province.

Distances: 7 kilometers from the River Paraná
22 kilometers from Corrientes
159 kilometers from Formosa

The name Resistencia was chosen in honor to the perseverance of the first residents who resisted the attacks of the Indians in the last century. It has a flat landscape with wide tree-lined streets and low constructions.

The Bridge General Belgrano connects the city of Corrientes to the Paraná River with more than 1.700 meters length. Only 3 kilometers away from the city, you can see the Toba neighborhood, an indigenous reservation of peculiar characteristics.

A characteristic of Resistencia is the outdoor museum. In the 60`s, Boglietti began a campaign in order to get sculptures, made all around the country, to be put on the sidewalks. Tourists can appreciate the most varied works of art, carried out by noted Argentinean artists, on the streets, squares and walks.
