El Calafate, Argentina
A city founded in 1927 and it is located on the banks of Argentino lake. It is characterized for the construction of its buildings with double falldown roofs.
Calafate takes the name of the small bush (fruit) calafate, typical of southern Patagonia.
It sets up the highest ranking tour center of the province, besides being a strategic spot from where Glazer circuits are begun.
The climate is primarily dry, with a maximun temperature of 19oC., in summer and minimun of -2oC., in winter.

The Glaziers National Park, which covers an approximate area of 600.000 hectares. From this great ice field, 47 glaciers run away, among which are: Marconi, Viedma, Moyano, Upsala, Agassiz, Bolado, Onelli, Peineta, Spegazzini, Mayo, Ameghino, Moreno and Frias. All of them belonging to the Atlantic Basin.
