The province of Buenos Aires is composed by the city of Buenos Aires; it represents the 40% of the territory of Argentina; its capital is La Plata. It is bordered by Entre Rios Santa Fé and Córdova to the north, by the city of Buenos Aires to the east and by La Pampa and Rio Negro to the west.
It has different landscapes, kilometers of beaches on the Atlantic Ocean, lagoons, rivers, plantations and historic places. The city has an important cultural, historic and commercial development.
The weather is temperate, it presents warm summers and cold winters. The eastern zones are humid, mainly from October to March, the western zone is drier and the rainfall is between 400 and 500 mm per year.
One of the most visited places is The Colon Theater; it is considered one of the most important theaters in the world. It is the venue of musical genre. There are presentations of typical music, tango, orchestra, ballet, diverse dance groups, and soloists of the entire world.

Adventure tourism
The diverse landscapes and the geography are appropriated for adventure tourism. There are hundreds of beaches, vegetation and mountainous regions.
It is possible to practice windsurfing, rowing, canoeing, jet sky and other aquatic sports. Sports like paragliding, parachuting in Lobos, trekking, climbing, rappelling, riding and mountain bike can be also practiced here.
Lagoons: The province has several lagoons; the most important ones are Epecuén, Chascomús and Lobos.
The Epecuén lagoon covers 10.000 hectares. Its waters contain a lot of salt; they have healing effects for rheumatism, anemia, diabetes and exhaustion because these waters possess sodium chloride, sulfate. The water tradition has medical and scientific support; wonderful therapeutic properties have benefited millions of sick people.
The Chascoús lagoon (in native tongue it means “salt waters lagoons”) is one of the best one for fishing in Buenos Aires because there live a great variety of fish, mainly silversides.
The Lobos lagoon has the necessary infrastructure for camping or staying in lodgings and bungalows. These ones offer services like football and volley grounds, restaurants, plays for children, tents and pigeonholes. It is the perfect place to fish silversides, leporinus, carps, etc.
Rural tourism
The city of Buenos Aires has rural attractions; more than 350 farms offer different services. The low season is from the Holy Week towards the end of November.
In the city, there are about 150 lodgings, some of them are simple and comfortable and others are luxury. They offer different services and prices. It is possible to appreciate the rural life and activities like agriculture and cattle farming.
Tourism in the city
There are many architectural buildings, monuments, museums, craft fairs and also spectacles which show the singular customs of the province of Buenos Aires. Visitors can take walks by observing the singular streets among green nature; as well as going to the movies, theatres, casinos, and so on.
Culture
Gastronomy: The gastronomy is varied. The most peculiar dishes are the roast lambs that are widely known in the world. The pork and the lamb roast with wine is another specialty. The desserts have migratory influences; the milk jam gives them the regional characteristic.
Crafts: It is possible to acquire works with rural designs as ribbons, muzzles, boots and all leather craftworks.
