Bariloche, Argentina
San Carlos Bariloche is considered an international tour center in the region. It is located to the northwest of Rio Negro on the southeast banks of Nahuel Huapi Lake and inside Nahuel Huapi National Park. It is situated 764 meters above the sea level
The city contains mountainous landscapes, woods, lakes and crystalline clear rivers. Its high peaks of the Andes present glaziers.
Ski is the most practiced sport during the austral winter months. Rowing, fishing, trekking and other adventure sports are preferred during summer time.
The name Bariloche comes from the word "vuriloche" that refers to a local tribe. The first group of residents that arrived in 1885 was basically conformed by Germans and Austrians. That is why San Carlos de Bariloche keeps the appearance of an Alp village.
Bariloche is also famous thanks to its exquisite chocolates which are considered the most precious souvenir. The making of jams made of the finest fruit is popular too.

Cathedral Mount (Cerro Catedral). It is the greatest ski center of the Southern Hemisphere. It takes its name, Catedral, from the resemblance of the structure to the towers that crown up the top of a Gothic Cathedral.
Several means of lifting permit the ascension at any time of the year.
Otto Mount (Cerro Otto). Entering to the kilometer one of the Pioneers, it is possible to ascend to a sinuous road as far up as the winter complex of Piedras Blancas (5 kilometers). Further, the background skiing fields, the Berkoff shelter and the museum are situated.
