Balnearia - Spa, Argentina

Balnearia is located 185 kilometers from the city of Córdoba.

Its origins go back to 1.883 and it is considered an ideal place for healthy therapies. Its base of operations is the Thermal Balneologico Center. The properties of the water are known since the last century and, at the moment, several facilities exist in order to get access to the thermal bathrooms with their corresponding medical attendance.

How to get to Balnearia

From Buenos Aires

To get to Balnearia you have to travel by the National road Nº 9, to subsequently take the national Highway No. 008. You will have to leave the national highway  01, to take the National road Nº 19, later you have to take the national road Nº 3, to finally travel by the provincial road Nº 17 till the local road to be followed till reach Balnearia city.

From Rosario

To get to Balnearia from Rosario you have to travel by the national road Nº 33, subsequently you will have to take the national highway 008.
You will have to leave the national highway  01, to take the National road Nº 19, later you have to take the national road Nº 3, to finally travel by the provincial road Nº 17 till the local road to be followed till reach Balnearia city.

The program includes a huge fireworks spectacle, subsequently you will enjoy the traditional street parade and observe the beauty queens by the main avenue of the city in vehicles or carriages accompanied by bands, murgas and dance groups (comparsa), and the schedule also includes a traditional formal ball where takes place the election of the queen of the festival.
Among the favorite activities are the ecological tourism, related specially with the area of Mar Chiquita Reservoir, the Health tourism, based in the mineralization of the waters and the mud of the lagoon.

This place one of the closest to Mar Chiquita Lagoon has large variety of trees, virgin natural woods.
