Bahía Blanca is one of the most important port cities. It is located to the south east of Buenos Aires among the exuberant nature. The weather is warm with mild temperatures.
It is an important commercial centre. Its economy depends on the exportation of cereals and wool. It possesses an important petrochemical pole that is located between Galván and Ingeniero White ports.

Municipal Theatre
The theatre was inaugurated in 1913, it can hold up 850 people. It contains 6 rehearsal rooms and it offers several workshops too.
Historic Centre
It is formed by a beautiful landscape: there are public buildings where it is possible to appreciate the history through singular architectonic designs which combines ancient and modern architecture.
Independencia Park
The Independencia Park is situated on Borrego Street between Lima Rondeau and Juldain. It has historical and scenic value.
Paseo de las Esculturas (Sculptures Road)
This is a road plenty of artworks created by using railway scraps. It is located on the tube of the Napostá stream. The sculptures were done by ten sculptors and an assistant group for the first National Sculpture Symposium.
In this place, there is a circular fountain with nine water spurts.

Zoo
The zoo is located on the Pringues Avenue between Balboa and D´Orbigni. It covers five hectares approximately. It contains several areas: a riding club, the zoo, an educative room and a beautiful zone for family picnics. It is a natural place where people will appreciate the animal’s habitat and will enjoy green spaces for outdoor activities.
Museums in Bahía Blanca
In downtown, the museums are cultural, historical and natural reserves. The Municipal Museum is one of the most visited museums; it presents remains and historical regional documents which belong to native ancestors. Other important museum is The Natural Sciences Museum where cultural and archaeological richness are exhibited; it preserves diverse remains, fossils collections, minerals, herbariums and crafts of native cultures.
